I watched this quick video last week and found it incredibly powerful.
Asking this question can help direct our energy (for ourselves and our organization).
Understanding THAT thing that breaks your heart, knowing your compelling reason to do what you do… it’s the secret sauce.
I thought about it.
What breaks my heart?
Knowing that there are people in the world who are in management roles and they feel lost. They feel overwhelmed. They don’t have the tools or resources or access to mentors to help them. They feel inadequate and often downright scared. At the least, they feel uncomfortable most of the day because they are never quite sure they are doing it ‘right’.
What breaks my heart is knowing that there is help available to all of these people and it doesn’t have to be complicated or elusive. But many of them believe that is the case so they give up.
I want to make a difference for these people.
I want to help.
What breaks your heart?
Are you working on helping THAT problem, challenge, issue, group of people, today?
It may be one of the most powerful question you ask yourself.
