Uber is a hot mess.
And the CEO is the crux of the problems.
The good news is, he released a statement indicating he wants a leadership coach.
Awesome.
The best news will be if he takes willful action and changes his behavior.
THAT remains to be seen.
Here’s what Uber and its CEO are teaching us.
The leadership immaturity of the executive(s) will undermine any exceptional idea, service, product or solution.
You cannot ignore the development of your senior leaders.
It-will-catch-up-to-the-organization. ALWAYS.
Here’s the big catch though…Adults don’t like to change their behavior.
We like to talk about it, but not really go through the grueling work of DOING IT.
As you know, I specialize in coaching difficult leaders or ‘leaders under fire’.
The ones who succeed go through a process of ‘seeing’ themselves as others do, rather than as they like to believe they are.
It’s a tough journey.
But with a strong coach and a supportive team, it can be done.
I wish Travis Kalanick all the best. I actually offered to be his coach 🙂
If you or a leader in your organization is under fire, don’t wait.
Get them some support.
People won’t just change because we want them to.
They need support and tools and feedback to create awareness.
And they need a coaching partner who understands how the brain of a leader under fire works.
This month, I’m offering free 30-minute coaching strategy sessions to leaders under fire or people who want to hire a coach for a leader under fire in their organization.
In just 30 minutes, I’ll be able to help you plot out key steps to take to move the challenge forward and get closer to a solution. To book time to chat, CLICK HERE.
Now, go be kind today. I promise. It will make a difference in your organization 🙂
